Mural at Box Hill, Melbourne for Mural Monday

 

It is the event of the week - Mural Monday. This mural sat here for a couple of years. It is not conspicuous inside a laneway that no one would dare venture inside here. What is the point of painting a mural then?

Thanks for the acknowledgment for the misadventure yesterday. It was really due to lack of planning and investigation into the area. My pal and I tried to climb the boulder rocky coast which would only surface in the lowest tide. We tried to get to the spot and get out of it within 4 hours. The whole area is covered by snake holes and snake eggs that broke as well. 

I guess I will get back to street candid shots again lol.

Sea Cave in Inverloch

 

The coastline from Inverloch to Hamer's beach is where dinosaur fossils are frequently discovered. There are numerous sea caves along the coastline too. 

This particular cave is very wide. There are many spiders crawling on the ground as well. Not a fun place to stay still.

Anchors of the Marie Gabrielle, Wreck Beach

 

This place is really wonderful to visit. Problem is that the whole beach is immersed under the sea in high tide. It takes about 333 steps to walk down the stairs off the cliff and a 3 km hike along the rocks. 

In fact, this is also a popular astrophotography spot which I would not dare coming alone.

Shoes hung up high in laneway, Melbourne CBD

 

I love shallow depth of field at one stage. It was what a lens geek would do. I have tons of shots on the shoes hung up in the laneway of Melbourne. I never quite understood why this was done first place.

My pals tell me it was a way to mark the sales point for weeds. Or it was a mysterious way to play a game.
