The Story Bridge is a heritage listed steel cantilever bridge spanning the Brisbane River that carries vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian traffic between the northern and the southern suburbs of Brisbane, Australia. It is the longest cantilever bridge in Australia.
The road across the bridge is named Bradfield Highway. The bridge connects Fortitude Valley to Kangaroo Point. The Story Bridge opened in 1940 and was tolled until 1947. It is named after prominent public servant John Douglas Story.
Given the early settlement of Kangaroo Point, there is a
long history of residents wanting a bridge between the Brisbane CBD and
Kangaroo Point. Even while the first Victoria Bridge was being constructed
between North Brisbane and South Brisbane in 1865, several hundred people were
petitioning for a second bridge to be built from the Customs House to Kangaroo
Point. In 1888, a meeting was held in the Brisbane Town Hall to demand a bridge
connecting either George Street, Albert Street or Edward Street via the City
Botanic Gardens with any loss of the land from the gardens to be potentially
compensated by removing Government House.

The photography tips for beginners in photography:
1. If you wanna freeze the action, don’t increase your shutter
speed. Just ask the players to freeze and not move.
2. You can clean your camera with soap
3. Some part of your finger should appear in the camera. Gives
a nice blur and focus
4. You don't need a lens to take good photos
5. Lens cap ON, iso to MAX
6. Time for a deep clean? Be sure to exfoliate your sensor
It has been a while since I visited this location. I gonna visit the place again this weekend. After 1 week of locum work, I am so over making ends meet.

This is where 4 people were drowned in Nov 2023. This cave is totally under water within 10 minutes. 90% of the time, it is where fish swim.
Looks wet and raw. I kind of love it.

This is a location once a home shelter of the local aboriginal population. The cave emits loud noise from the wind coming into the cave.

"The ship Sierra Nevada bound from Liverpool to Melbourne, crashed upon the rocks of the Ocean Back Beach, behind Portsea, at 1 a.m. yesterday, and 23 of her crew were lost. The centre of the ship, like a mammoth shark’s fin, now appears above the breakers upon which the unmasted hull has been impaled, and that is all that is visible of the wreck. The masts, sails and numberless spars and fragments from the splintered vessel, together with many hundreds of cases and bales of cargo, bestrew the rocks to the mainland, and shortly after news was received of the disaster the battered body of the captain was hauled out from among the wreckage."
The Sierra Nevada was bound from Liverpool with a cargo that consisted chiefly of whiskey and paper. She sighted Cape Otway on Tuesday morning, and before a favouring breeze made good progress towards Melbourne. At nightfall the lookout sighted the Heads, and there was every prospect of entering the harbor early in the morning. Soon, however, the wind veered around to the south, and as it steadily increased in strength, sail was shortened and everything made taut and apparently safe. The ship continued on her way without increased portents of danger until 11 p.m. Then, above the lashing of the waves and the roar of the wind, the voice of Geo. McGuffin, the man on the lookout, was heard proclaiming ominous warning, “Breakers ahead!” Simultaneously the sailors discerned through the darkness a white line of surf, in bold contrast to a black and rugged background of rocks, which rose out of a dense mist of spray upon the port side.
This is the first time I could find out more information of this shipwreck I frequented many times in the past few years. It is because of some remnants I found ion the region. I was pretty sure there was a shipwreck.

This was taken on the weekend. Joel and I escaped the crowd 1km away from this location. Lucky there are no other photographers there at that time! There was a nearby water puddle that Joel peed into it. Later a young couple came and splashing dipping into it. Joel was laughing his butt off.
I just figured out I was banned from commenting on Instagram. That frustrated me so much.

A little sombre just the way I like it for the past few weeks. I tend to underexpose the shots using ultra-wide-angle lens in my hike. Stefan would not approve lol.
I am planning to re visit Cape Woolamai with Joel today. The long car drive is always our talk therapy time. Also eating cheap eats along the way is also a way to enjoy Australian weekends.

Joel and I are trying to re-examine the photos from our regular walks. I like this one the best.
We were told to leave when a security officer told us not to photograph the stairs. But we were standing in the public space taking a photo of the steps. We could not understand why they bothered. There were tons of the same images on the net too.

This is called introspection I guess.
This is a classic country town where elites tend to retire at in northwest Victoria. People living in the town are quite alternative.
