Ruby red. This is a pretty one. Looks like maybe some kind of Firefly? There are many different species of them.
I have not seen fireflies in Australia though.
Always fun to photograph tiny bugs. Great colors.

A beetle should be a neutral colour, to avoid being eaten by its predators. But this one seems to be actively seeking attention.
