This is definitely cheaper than going to a flower show. This is free locally.
The storm would have smashed all these tulips following the capture yesterday!

The rain will be pouring for the next consecutive 10 days all over Australia. I was splashed by the rain last evening too. Well, I did not know there was a light up event near the tulip bloom!

I shot it handheld. No tripod. Done wide open too. Funny to do this like a lazy crook.
On weekend, I visited Cape Woolamai for a long exposure shot. As usual, it was sunny in Melbourne but rainy at the beach. The rogue wave also got me and the camera too. Double Whammy.
Love motion blur. A bit of Zen.

After seeing some blogger friends posting on mining equipment, I took quite a few abandoned in the wilderness in Loddon Region of Victoria.
Seriously, this shall be protected in a shelter of some sort instead of being left out in the wilderness.

That is my buddy that we go out taking photographs of the places I research earlier in the week. I am the God Father for his kids even though we are not religious. Not sure how that works out lol.

I often felt like a fish trying to avoid the unavoidable!
Let it be authority, line manager or just the cruelty of life
I was watching a movie about a professor whose interest is into sleep paralysis and dreams. Then I thought my hobby in photography can be classified as art research! I just need donors to fund my equipment and inner artistic being!

Tons of rains came down really hard in the past 2 days. Cyclone type of weather with rapid cycling of sunny moments and storms.
Overcast weather is the best for waterfall long exposure. So here we go again at this waterfall with a funny pronunciation.

I forgot it was a public holiday for school kids. So every touristy location is packed by humans. Full stop. I can only photography humans instead.

Hofbräuhaus Melbourne is the iconic location that serves black beer and pork sausages. My Jewish pal loves the location very much that I always get dragged here for his feast.
The vibe at night is always something special. Maybe it is because the place carries so much memory in it.

Back beach is about 72km long along Mornington Peninsula. It is about 150km out of Melbourne but still getting classified as a Melbourne suburb. Some said Melbourne is similar to Los Angeles in US. It has a wide span really.
Love long exposure. Here we go, another "unnatural" photo.

Another El Nina gonna hit Australia and this will be the third one in the past 10 months. This means the continuous wet weather will make my regular photo walk a bit more challenging to do so in the coming months.
When I took this shot, I kind of hope no one was going to rob me from behind...

A scene fitting for skywatch Friday :)
It only looks peaceful in the photo. The location has violent waves. Rogue waves would curl me out into the sea any minute.

St Arnaud is a town that I always drove by on the way to Horsham once a month. Until telehealth has become a common fraud, I do not need to drive to other towns so frequently anymore.
The mural is a classic in town. I get the lovely latte in the nearby cafe that has changed hands once a year.

Kind of spooky inside this cave. But the view is quite nice. Worth the effort to come here in the cold.

The underside of the Princess Pier is all rusted. The place stinks because of massive deaths of star fish. How lovely an urban exploration ends up in this ugly spot.

This is a scene that reminds of the "No Face" in game of throne series. The spotlight happens to shine on the mask which is kind of spooky.
I was on the mission to get some street candids. Then an unexpected view turned up.

Pulpit rock is a basalt type formed by cooling lava. This is a popular location for angling fishing and photographers. Few get hurled out into the sea every year according to the statistics. During high tide, one would be standing at the sea floor scuba diving.
Coming here is always a challenge. Photographers are like a pack of wolves here. We gonna get our spots like a prized possession. I often browse for stock market news on my phone, squatting on these uneven rock surfaces.
Did I mention that there were more tourists than the fish in the ocean here?

I am a rural geriatrician. So, I provide consults to the remote nursing homes in Vic-NSW border towns. This sunrise view is the bonus view I often get. This only last 5 minutes or so before the sky became a wonton.
The only concern is that big trucks and cargo carriers often speed without a worry in the world. Taking a shot by the roadside is quite risky.
