I spotted a chap coming out of a Chinese eatery, who bought some take away. He was yelling at all the Asians coming into the store "Get some real food!". That really made my day.

This is the royal botanic garden. It costs 55 bucks for all time entry. No refund possible. Joel and I came here ready to shoot on Thursday night. This lake in the garden is usually quite boring for me. Not that night.

Weather has been a bit under me lately. I spent time scanning and editing the old film photos from the days in 2000 doing clinical placement at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan. I haven't seen my best friend in medical school over 17 years! He ended up meeting the woman of his life when we worked in New York.
This was one of the take I did in the past at Wreck Beach. I never seemed to get a decent weather there.
Joel and I are planning to do this adventure again later this year. Mainly for astro photography along the great ocean road. Hopefully weather is better.

Expensive meal for Joel's Birthday. We were still hungry afterwards, so we went to a dumpling alley.
I realised the photos would be buried in my hard drive forever after the occasion. I might as well post them here like a diary.

I was testing out Sigma 17mm f4 pancake lens last week. The stroll was quite relaxing as I observed all sorts of weird design and colours in the hippy Fitzroy Street.
I did not realise it was a full moon last night. No wonder all the people at my clinic were super mad.

I was taking a stroll last weekend. After a nice dining for Joel's Birthday. I came across this old building again. In university days, I ate there a lot. The food quality declined badly over the years. The cook added rice powder to all the dumplings before they get fried. Cinnamon is also added to the stuffing. It is just not the same anymore.

I will be heading out with Joel for his birthday dinner tomorrow night.

Melbourne is cold too. Despite me paying the bill, mum's frugal approach to simple life means no heating at all (I spent 20k AUD on the 26 sheets of solar panel and a battery too). She even developed chilblains in her feet. The generation.
My trip to Cape Woolamai did not happen as the gale was up to 40 knots. The weekend weather was not fitting for me to go into the nature at all. Plus mum and brother were nagging me to stay home boy instead. So I ended up trying the best winning 2023 pie in Australia - I will show later on.

Today though little chance of rain but the sky was completely overcast. Joel rang me saying he was too bored needing to do something. So we came to this same location from 2 weeks ago. This time, it is high tide. It was good for long exposure. The cloud break allows us to see some colours too.
