New Zealand Waters for Water H2O Thursday

I was not too impressed when I clicked the shot. Later, I actually love it more.

Now is the end of financial year sale. I have bought so many things this month more than any years prior. Now I am tempted to get Sony 12-24mm f2.8 but I must stop the impulsive buying!

White Whiskered Laughingthrush in Taiwan for Saturday Critter

I only learnt the name of this bird until a former mate in Perth Australia told me about it.

Extraordinarily plumaged songbird with white facial markings that lend it an almost comical whiskered appearance. Brown overall, with accents of yellow, buff, purple, plum, blue, and orange throughout the plumage. Inhabits montane forest edge with dense shrubbery or grassy cover, but often emerges out onto roadsides and paths to forage, often crossing the road close to vehicles. Moves in noisy flocks or in pairs, giving soft contact calls and harsh rattling and whistling calls when alarmed. Song, a melodic tinkling, is simple but pleasant.

Lake Tekapo New Zealand for Skywatch Friday

It was still cloudy and windy. Lucky the cloud break allows some colours to enter into the frame.

This was taken from 2 days ago trying to get some shots when the fickle weather decided to cloud break

I am heading to Mount Arthur today. Cloudy forecast. At least not raining anymore. But who knows?

HeHuan Mountain for Skywatch Friday

Love the clouds

Mount Hehuan is a 3,416-metre-high mountain in Central Taiwan. The peak lies on the border of Nantou and Hualien counties and is located within Taroko National Park. Hehuanshan is a popular destination in central Taiwan.

Mount Alexander View for Sunday Best

Mount Alexander is a central for hikers in the region of Loddon Valley. It has plenty of snakes too.

I was watching "Extrapolation" TV series. A phrase caught my attention.

"Comfort the afflicted. Afflict the comforted"

Glass House Mountain for Skywatch Friday

This was taken from the trip up north to Queensland 2 months ago. Joel and I took a turn on the way to Noosa. This was an iconic spot for sunset and Milkyway photography. We did not stay for that.

Noosa Sunset for Sky Friday

Noosa is really over the top with the urban scrawl. I find it unpleasant to travel through. The scenery takes a long while to find.

Tamshui Taipei Taiwan for Sunday Best

This is near the river mouth in Taipei district. It looks somewhere in a tropical island. In fact, it is next to ugly concrete jungle.

An illusion

Taroko Gorge, Taiwan

I am back to Australia. A good 3-week break and a digital detox not by choice lol.

The walk and hike around the mountains in mid Taiwan were really relaxing. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Problem of going away for a few weeks is that a significant amount of work built up over time. There were a lot of bills to pay while I had zero income for these weeks. Life goes on!

Love the mist and the light and the fresh air. Best to detox from the mundane life.

Mount Fuji, Japan

A while back, I was organising my albums. I came across the images I once tried so hard in capturing them. Funny how mood has changed over time that I even forgot about it.

Sipping my Latte while writing this post. It does feel right in winter Melbourne.

The light abstract

A back lit photo. Yet, it does create that mundane feeling about it.

I was with Leonid and the weather allows great conversation to take place.

Leonid, stop nagging me about driving too fast or give way to L platers. I know how to drive :P
