Abandoned papermill, Fairfield

This stair was actually quite wobbly to climb. The whole suburb is now turned into apartment complex. There was an abandoned mental health facility that was now demolished turning into an estate of some sorts.

Sony is releasing A7RV for which I already place a pre-order. Can't wait to have the new toy to come!

    1. I did not stay up there for long since the whole floor was shaking at the time. I did not want to appear on the news

  2. Fantastic photo! Do you have free access to these kind of sights? Places that are abandoned here have no trespassing signs everywhere but still that doesn't stop people from entering the sight.

    1. In urban environment, most places are well fenced off with surveillance due to occupational safety law. In regional areas, people are usually armed by rifles. It is actually not easy to do urbex.

  3. You were lucky with those stairs as I presumed you climbed them. Nice capture and how long do you have to wait for the new camera? Always exciting buying a new one.

    1. The stairs are really not safe. It would be near the end of November, I hope. You know how things get delayed so often these days.

    1. Thank you, Eileen. A different approach to this shot would be from the bottom of the stairs looking up

  6. Nice wide angle shot. Love those kind of urbex shots. Perhaps a bit to exaggerated colors or contrast.
