The mural of a heavily tattooed geisha stood beside me as I sat on a humble stool outside a tucked-away café, a bacon-and-egg breakfast plate resting in front of me, almost absurdly ordinary beneath the high-rises of Adelaide’s CBD.
She was turned sideways, her gaze cast elsewhere, yet the whole image had something strangely confrontational about it—the elaborate tattoos, the stark expression, the sheer intensity of the composition. Against the quiet ritual of breakfast, it felt almost too forceful, too pungent for my taste.

Potser era que el mural no estava al seu lloc, perquè a mi sí m'agrada, però de vegades amb el que l'envolta no fa un bon contrast.
ReplyDeleteSalutacions!
It certainly has a character
DeleteIt is unusual. a strange of modernistic and ancient. Kind of reminds me of a gangster geisha!!
ReplyDeleteBad arse ganster geisha lol
DeleteUn bello mural con un buen contraste de colores.
ReplyDeleteMore Samurai than Geisha perhaps...
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of a weird photo, but it does give an impressive image. I don't actually think this is a geisha, though.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful one.
ReplyDeleteLooks interesting and I didn't think Geisha would have tattoos.
ReplyDeletewonderful mural
ReplyDelete...a bacon-and-egg breakfast sounds good to me right about now.
ReplyDeleteUn bonito mural el de esta geisha de la que creía que todo que se veía eran sus vestidos. Pero veo que alguien ya lo vandalizo.
ReplyDeleteSaludos.

ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
