Monkey for Saturday Critter

This is an old photo. Dad used to keep all sorts of animals in the house including 8 monkeys. I even got scratches causing abscesses by these hungry monkeys caught in the wilderness in Taiwan.

  1. So your Dad kept them as pets? My cousin had a pet monkey for awhile, but it kept throwing it's poop, so they gave it up.

  2. Por lo común, se suele tener perros y gatos, como animales de compañía. Nunca se me ocurriría tener un mono en casa.

  3. Solo vi monos en documentales y como parece eran los de tu padre algo agresivos.

    Saludos.

  5. Wow! Eight monkeys! I can't imagine, Roentare! I have found them really intimidating, especially when they bare their fangs at you. I think this is an awesome photo! You can see intelligence and purpose behind its eyes.

  10. Monkeys remind me too much of people wearing red MAGA caps here. But I will say that your picture is really interesting with a texture that is like an etching.

  15. How amazing to have been around monkeys like that. We see a few in the wild here in Florida and once a lady had one in the store! You shared a neat photo with so much detail.

  16. I'm not sure I'd want eight monkeys as pets but boy -- that is one terrific photo. It has such character and personality in that face.
