This is an old photo. Dad used to keep all sorts of animals in the house including 8 monkeys. I even got scratches causing abscesses by these hungry monkeys caught in the wilderness in Taiwan.
Wow! Eight monkeys! I can't imagine, Roentare! I have found them really intimidating, especially when they bare their fangs at you. I think this is an awesome photo! You can see intelligence and purpose behind its eyes.
Monkeys remind me too much of people wearing red MAGA caps here. But I will say that your picture is really interesting with a texture that is like an etching.
Great photo of the monkey, he/she does look serious. I can not imagine living with 8 monkeys in the house. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
How amazing to have been around monkeys like that. We see a few in the wild here in Florida and once a lady had one in the store! You shared a neat photo with so much detail.
I never really trusted monkeys.
ReplyDeleteSince they are almost human.
Delete...so serious.
ReplyDeleteI could not get warm to them
DeleteThat doesn't seem healthy to me.
ReplyDeleteYou might be right
DeleteSo your Dad kept them as pets? My cousin had a pet monkey for awhile, but it kept throwing it's poop, so they gave it up.
ReplyDeleteYeah, they scratch and throw poo at us all the time
ReplyDeleteSaludos.
Rhesus monkeys from the wild
DeleteThere must have been a lot of monkey business in your childhood home.

ReplyDeleteGreat photo, but I don't know if I'd want to live with a monkey- :)
ReplyDeleteOhhh this is a stellar photo. The expression is amazing. Ohhh 8 monkeys in the house? Thank you for sharing with FFO and have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo. Love monkeys but just to look at.
ReplyDeleteI saw some people put a monkey in the cage when I was a kid..... sad.
ReplyDeleteWonderful portrait!
ReplyDeleteVery serious look

ReplyDeleteSuch an intense photo! Sounds like wild times (and scratches ).
ReplyDeleteI had an aunt who looked like your photo. Not my favourite person.
ReplyDeleteThis is a pretty penetrating and sharp portrait of this ape.
ReplyDeleteNot the best house pet.

ReplyDeleteWonderful photo!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I'd want eight monkeys as pets but boy -- that is one terrific photo. It has such character and personality in that face.
ReplyDeleteLa fotografía está muy bien. Me gustan los monos libres. Un beso.
