Forest in Warburton, Melbourne

Forest in winter is therapeutic for one's soul. Minus the mosquitos, leeches and potholes.

Coming here requires a commute through Warburton the town known for various cults quarters based in it. The only thing I like from the town is the bakery that sells apple pear pies which is to die for. I even had a photo from it, getting promoted on "In Explore" on Flickr. How bizarre. It was a mediocre shot!

  1. Flickr Explore can be very weird sometimes. At least when they don't pick my photos.

  2. Mosquitoes are not fun when you have to take pictures at the same time

    1. They are large in size here. It can bite through shirt and all. They can even travel up the sleeves or trousers to bite your inner sanctum

  3. We don't get mosquitoes in Scotland and never seen a leech in real life either here. We do get midges, they are horrible little buggers. Sadly all insects love me and I get bitten a lot so have to wear repellant when they are about.

This is stunning, I really like it :-D

    1. So you are probably one of those people that emit certain pheromone or infrared waves that attract these insects lol

  4. Nice and a typical scene and one I would enjoy walking across the log hoping it wasn't too slippery.

    1. Slippery everywhere. Gravity is really not a friend here

  5. Tienes que ponerte un buen protector, antes de internarte en le bosque.
Es muy bella la fotografía que has hecho en él.
    Que tengas un buen día.

    1. UV filter of any kind would cause long exposure even more difficult. The area is so dark. Thank you for the kind comment!
