Flinders Blowhole seascape for Water H2O Thursday

I didn’t do much last weekend. This is an older photograph taken at Flinders Blowhole—I particularly like the way the water splashes onto the rocks.

I’ve resumed intermittent fasting in an effort to shed the extra weight I gained while in Taiwan. Work has been quite demanding. To make matters more difficult, I’ve received the unfortunate news that I will once again be losing my capable receptionist. It appears to be a recurring pattern within the corporate structure to dismiss competent staff within a two-year timeframe. One has to wonder—when things are functioning well, why is there a need to remove those who contribute positively?

  1. Excellent! Both the lighting and the long exposure with the water crashing against the rocks are brilliant.

  2. I love how you captured the waves and the peach colored light. I know a lot of places fire their good employees after only a few years to avoid raises and retirement benefits. It's not right.

  3. You have posted a beautiful photo of this area before. Perhaps it bears repeating. I hope you have time to get out with your camera.

  4. Una imagen de gran calidad y ese efecto del agua en movimiento la hace mas grande aún.
Ese problema de despedir cada cierto tiempo a un empleado, aun siendo competente, no solo es de allí por estos lares también suelen hacerlo.

    Saludos.

  5. I continue to fast intermittently. I am doing a 6/18 schedule. I’ve lost quite a bit but not much lately.

    1. You would have a 6 month plateau before the next round of weight loss will take place

  6. Las olas desafiantes quieren probar la dureza de esas piedras que se interponen en su camino.

  9. That must be so annoying to lose your receptionist, and it seems like you have no power over that.

  11. Lovely photo. So many people take away the good things when all is going well, only then to stuff it up - happens all the time. If it's not broken, there is no need to fix it!

  12. It is a fine image--- and you were asking about the gull's red dot--- The Herring Gull (Larus argentatus) is a large seabird known for its distinctive red spot on the lower part of its yellow bill, which chicks peck at to stimulate their parents to regurgitate food. (Thanks, Google)
