Hosier Lane Mural for Mural Monday

 

I no longer venture out as often in search of murals, so a leisurely walk around here was perhaps the easiest way to find something worth photographing. There was, unfortunately, plenty of rubbish scattered about, the rather unromantic by-product of what I can only describe as government-driven cultural enrichment through graffiti.

Then I came across this rather unusual piece. At first glance, it reminded me of a L'Oréal cosmetics advertisement, as though a beauty campaign had somehow found its way onto a wall already layered with graffiti. Now that was certainly a first! A curious collision of street art and commercial beauty, and quite an unexpected find on an otherwise ordinary walk.
