Forest Cave at Phillip Island for Sunday Best

This is where 4 people were drowned in Nov 2023. This cave is totally under water within 10 minutes. 90% of the time, it is where fish swim.

Looks wet and raw. I kind of love it.

  9. Phillip Island ranges from the gentle and family friendly ...to the rugged and dangerous.

  11. That does look excellent and before I saw that 4 people downed there I was thinking it would be very dangerous.

  12. It looks like a nice cave as you have photographed it, but those who drowned remind us to be careful with nature. Have a beautiful Sunday.

  13. I've come to the conclusion that one must be watchful and careful around the Sea. You can't compete with it's strength. Still, a nice picture.

  15. Por lo que nos dices es tan peligrosa como bella esa cueva. La foto preciosa y la luz del momento hizo que lograses unos bellos colores.

    Saludos.

  16. Danger has beauty, but the price of enjoying it may be very high... Thanks for taking part in the "My Sunday Best" meme, James.

  17. Powerful image, Roentare! The people who drowned were probably panicked and terrified. The thought stabs me in the heart. I've always wanted to see the Blue Grotto in Italy since I read about it in one of Richard Halliburton's books when I was a girl. A few years ago I was literally standing on a rock ledge a few meters from the entrance. It was sealed off by a high tide and a scuba diver was entering it. I had a glass of wine at a cafe by it and saluted the grotto. That's likely as close as I'll get to it in this lifetime. But I haven't given up all hope ~ lol!
