Red-browed Firetail at Cranbourne Melbourne

These petite, seed-eating wonders, also known as the Red-browed Firetail, are easily recognisable by their vivid red brows and tails contrasted against their olive-green plumage.

  2. It is always difficult to catch the birds, and in this case the position is magnificent to show those touches of red that characterize it.

  3. Oh my goodness, how adorable!! I have never seen or heard of one. And I am a birdwatcher, too! The red even extends out onto his beak! He must be some kind of finch, as he has a short stout beak for breaking seeds. I bet he hops instead of walking.
