Tangalooma Shipwreck, Moreton Island

I visited the Moreton Island. The helicopter ride gets me this wonderful image.

Busy walking around the city of Brisbane at night. So far over 2k photos in the past 3 days. I gonna hit the top notch cocktail bar tonight - Death and Taxes Death and Taxes

  1. Such an orderly arrangement of wrecks in those sublime, tropical waters.

  2. A helicopter ride? Never been one of those. 2K photos? That´s helluva lot. If I go some where I take 20 to 30 photos. I shoot like back in film days, only one pic per subject. I don´t spray and pray. Not to say that you do but you gatch my drift.

  3. Wow, it looks like some kind of steampunk art beneath the sea.

  4. No todos tenemos la suerte, de conseguir esa buena vista. Ha sido una suerte de disfrutar ese paseo en helicóptero.

    1. The wrecks were formed in 1963, when a group of boat owners requested the construction of a man-made harbour just off the island for safe anchorage.

  9. My only time in a helicopter was as a broadcaster in a police helicopter. Motion sickness galore! Great pictue, though!

  10. Great shot indeed in that clear water. Lovely one but how did they get there?

    1. These ships were deliberately left there to stop strong sea currents coming into the island. This protects the incoming cruises.

  11. That is such a neat view! I can not get over how clear the water is.

  12. I am so prone to motion sickness and vertigo - I don't think I would ever survive a helicopter ride, if you know what I mean. So thank you for getting this photo for me - amazing lineup of wreck. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
