This is an iconic sign in the town of Rochester, Victoria. I come here monthly for consulting in the nursing home.
This town is all under the water in the recent flood. I am sure this sign will be under the water too.

...it's interesting that you have a Rochester too.
ReplyDeleteYeah, a tiny town here. It floods regularly though.
DeleteI hope the flooding recedes.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bill. It will take at least 2 weeks to settle. I am hiding at mum's place in Melbourne.
DeleteHorrible weather in your area. Been reading about it. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteIt is so weird. A desert like area for decades having floods like this.
ReplyDeleteSaludos.
Now there are Japanese encephalitis virus ravaging the areas
DeleteNight sign. That must be some heavy flooding.
ReplyDeleteI did not snap photos in the disaster zones. I stay away from them.
Deletemany places underwater water due to unexpected weather.... take care
ReplyDeleteIt is a horrific event in the region
DeleteThe mural is looking lovely when you took the shot, expect it's not so brilliant at the moment.
ReplyDeleteNo point visiting the region when one can get trapped easily in one way travel
DeleteBut there is no climate change, right? Sheesh. We haven't seen rain for nearly 90 days--- very unusual for western Washington State. The trees and plants are stressed. Smoke is in the air. But there is no climate change, right....
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sign!
ReplyDeleteThe weather is crazy...
Climate change sounds so benign
DeleteI hope the area is able to recover.
ReplyDeleteThey always do when federal government hands out free grants
DeleteI’m sorry the town got flooded. It’s a great mural.
ReplyDeleteIt has that aboriginal influence
DeletePoor Rochester. I shall add a photo of the iconic Shamrock Hotel to my post on the floods.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link,
