Holding a blood-stained brush for Mural Monday

The only message I could get is to stop war something like that.

In Hosier Lane. Probably wont last long with the extent of tagging practice in the area

Finally getting my 21 fans solar panels installed on my roof. Hopefully that will reduce my bills in winter for more generous use of central heating.

Portsea Back Beach in Mornington Peninsula for Sunday Best

The sea shelf exposed in the low tide often gave a photography interest for long exposure pleasure.

Yesterday I had a yum cha lunch with Leonid who visited Australia from US this year. We caught up and chatted for hours. He was trying to get me to work in US while I was trying to lure him back to Australia.

Monkey for Saturday Critter

This is an old photo. Dad used to keep all sorts of animals in the house including 8 monkeys. I even got scratches causing abscesses by these hungry monkeys caught in the wilderness in Taiwan.

Childer's Cove, Warrnambool for Water H2O Thursday

It is interesting that some of the shots I took at the time did not appeal to me. Sometime later, they seem quite sentimental.

H.M. Sign in Melbourne Bourke St for Sign2

This is the spot to do people photography. The building is a good location at night for floor reflection. But this is where most of murders and killings take place over the years in Melbourne CBD.

Mount Alexander View for Sunday Best

Mount Alexander is a central for hikers in the region of Loddon Valley. It has plenty of snakes too.

I was watching "Extrapolation" TV series. A phrase caught my attention.

"Comfort the afflicted. Afflict the comforted"

GAS - gear acquisition syndrome is something Joel and I have suffered for many decades. We are now debating whether we should acquire a digital medium format system again. I guess that is how we socialise by talking about what we gonna spend money next on.

Australian Open live broadcast is way better this year. After work, I just lie on couch watching it on TV. So not going out much

I come across this on you tube. Love the scenery there!

Coffee shop chalk sign for Sign 2

North Victoria is flooded. I cannot freely travel as I like. This coffee shop at local Marketplace always has this colourful chalky sign. Though bad coffee and unimpressive cake selection, the colourful sign does lift my mood every time I passerby

Great Stupa of Universal Compassion, Bendigo for Treasure Tuesday

Taken yesterday afternoon. Only 12km from where I live in Bendigo. A nice view in deed.

I have treated a few monks from this sanctuary.

Melbourne Skyline for Sunday Best

It was hot and humid. Instead of heading to the coast, I visited an old spot doing skyline sunset shot.

A different feel

Utility Box Sign for Sign 2

On the weekend before Joel taking on his trip to Saphire Coast in NSW, he took me to Mensho Ramen Tokyo

This lotus contains 4 smaller symbols that seem to reflect some sort of folklore tales.

The ramen was delicious but we both waited at the door for 1 hour ahead of the queue.

Tarragal Cave for Treasure Tuesday

This is a location once a home shelter of the local aboriginal population. The cave emits loud noise from the wind coming into the cave.

Elephant Mountain for Sunday Best

Despite this is called a mountain, it is pretty much a small hill. The bump serves a good foreground interest in astrolandscape. I guess this is a scouting attempt before Milkyway season comes this year.

I am drastically preparing for my work next week. It has been 2 months since last time I left the town.

Pulpit Rock, Cape Schanck, Mornington Peninsula for Water H2O Thursday

I kind of dragged Joel along to this location again. We often encountered overcast sky with zero colours.  The waves hitting on the rocks vibrate the whole ground steadily. This was often why I got crappy shots here doing long exposure. This time, the tide was unusually low that there was not much vibrations on the ground level.

Joel went onto the other side of this coast which was said to be popular with photographers. His view was photo bombed constantly and I could hear him swear from a distance. Haha

2023 Review

I have seen my fellow bloggers doing a year's summary. Since I have been following some fellow bloggers closely over the years, I feel enlightened and touched somehow. Then I do my own blog review just on his daily photo blog. I did not realise I had taken so many photos this year. It is incredible.

Thank you for all the supports of fellow blog readers. It feels good to have my work be seen and commented on.

Hawk in Kerang, Victoria For Saturday Critter

I make it black and white so the contrast is better. So hard to capture any raptor in flight. I can only wait til they park on the electric cables.

Port Fairy for Water H2O Thursday

This town has a smell in the air. Like a sewage plant. Locals told me that there was a certain smell from the soil in town.
