I had very limited opportunity to photograph nature, let alone insects or animals. As a result, I revisited my personal archives and selected this image, which was taken nearly twenty years ago. At the time, it was captured using a very early and relatively basic Pentax DSLR.
Linking Saturday Critter

I don’t think you could do any better today with a newer and fancier camera. 👍
ReplyDeleteThank you. I was way more adventurous back then
DeleteBrilliant photo
ReplyDeleteThank you
DeleteEm sembla fantàstica i més pensant que està feta fa gairebé vint anys.
ReplyDeleteSalutacions!
Old image edited out to the teeth lol
DeleteIt is so well camouflaged! I don't think I would even have noticed it. It looks almost luminescent, too.
ReplyDelete...a fabulous image from your archive.
ReplyDeleteImpressive how much expressiveness such an early DSLR can offer. Proof that the photographer’s eye matters more than the equipment.
ReplyDeleteEnlarged I can see detail I could never see with my naked eyes.
ReplyDeleteTremenda fotografía de Naturaleza. Me encanta como has logrado dar todo el protagonismo a esa rama y al insecto dejando el fondo desenfocado para que no robe atención. Es muy bueno ese bokeh.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo
The camouflage is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI have been enjoying your trip into your archives. It's good to see what attracted your camera in the past,
ReplyDeleteLovely capture
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely capture, nature is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the best in 2026, a happy and healthy New Year for you and your family. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
It is clear that you where in a very green environment. Still a nice shot for such an old camera.
ReplyDeleteSe nota la habilidad del fotógrafo para conseguir esa foto de tanta calidad, con una cámara de hace 20 años.
ReplyDeleteSaludos.
Merry Christmas! I hope you get a break in the weather soon so you can get back out there with your current gear, but until then, these archive gems are a real treat.
ReplyDeleteIt is well hidden.
