Old China Town eatery for Treasure Tuesday

I was taking a stroll last weekend. After a nice dining for Joel's Birthday. I came across this old building again. In university days, I ate there a lot. The food quality declined badly over the years. The cook added rice powder to all the dumplings before they get fried. Cinnamon is also added to the stuffing. It is just not the same anymore.

  1. What a shame about the food, because this is an impressive place.

  2. Es razonable perder la clientela, si la calidad del menú ha bajado considerablemente.

  3. That's a shame. But it does look nice there

  4. Perhaps we should never test out old memories. To prevent disappointment, eat in new places.

  5. The building is very impressive. My hubby has many food memories, nothing is the same any more. Take care, enjoy your day and have a happy new week!

  6. It's a pity about the food. It is a building I have long admired.

  7. Beautiful old building and to me I'm not used to seeing such a building with all those signs.
Cooks/chefs oddly do make things so differently to our taste and we can never go back to the old cooks/chefs unless we know where they have gone to to cook.

    1. Interesting advice and tips. I will venture into CBD for more photo walks since the weather is a bit wet lately

  9. It used to be that one could travel just about anywhere and still find a predictably good Chinese food. At least that was what I found in the US and even Mexico. But about 20 years ago that seemed to change. Still, I like the building and your picture of it.

  10. Thats a pity. The exterior of the building promises old-fashioned cuisine.

  11. A magical blend of architectural styles, even if the chef's mixing of ingredients has a less happy outcome!

  12. ...somethings change and not for the better!

  13. Too bad that the food didn't match the exterior for interest!

  16. El edificio precioso pero creo le sobran algunos de los anuncios.
En cuanto a la calidad de la comida quizás cambiaron de cocinero.

    Saludos.
