There was a season when Joel and I returned to Flinders Blowhole again and again—five weekends in a row, almost like a quiet ritual. The walk no longer felt like an effort but a familiar rhythm: wind off the sea, the rough path underfoot, the distant thunder of waves forcing their way through the rock. At the time it seemed ordinary, just another outing, another stretch of coast. Yet looking back now, those visits feel quietly precious. The place reveals itself differently in memory—each surge of water, each salt-laden gust—suddenly worthy of every step we took to reach it.

From your beautiful photos I can see why you and Joel kept returning to this place. You also got a good walk, and that's great.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful reflection. Places we visit often can seem ordinary at the time, but later those repeated moments become the most meaningful. Your description of the walk, the wind, and the sound of the sea really brings the memory of Flinders Blowhole to life. It sounds like a special rhythm you shared there.
ReplyDeleteBellas fotografías marinas, sobre todo la primera con esos tonos cálidos del atardecer y el efecto seda del oleaje del mar.
ReplyDeleteDesprés de cinc caps de setmana, ja era com estar per casa.
ReplyDeleteExcel·lents fotografies.
Salutacions!
Yes, we get attachment to the location
DeleteThis place seems to be a neverending surprise. Never looking quite the same each time.
ReplyDeleteAs it should be, the rockpool is crystal clear.
ReplyDeleteTruly unpolluted
DeleteSuper photographs.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan

ReplyDeleteIdeas and composition does change over time
DeleteI see why you would return to this amazing place. That water is so clear and what's beneath is stunning. A very beautiful shot.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Roentare, especially the clear tide pool. Like you return to Flinders Blowhole in life and memory, I like to return to Point Prim near Digby, Nova Scotia: surging water, rocks, tide pools, seaweed, and birds. Such spots are truly precious.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful those two photos, prefer the last one.
ReplyDeleteThe little tide pool is perfectly rendered!
ReplyDeleteWow, these are both beautiful photos! Enjoy your day and the new week ahead.
ReplyDeleteTracing the same route regularly slowly reveals treasures that are not seen immediately on one journey.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos :-D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo's and beautiful text again.
ReplyDeleteA lovely spot.
ReplyDeleteTwo exposures at different ends of the light continuum.
ReplyDeleteDos imágenes diferentes aunque esa larga exposición de la primera la hace parecer mágica. Creo que por mucho que visites un lugar en la naturaleza no encontraras una imagen igual a la anterior.
ReplyDeleteSaludos.
Wow... what a fantastic landscape indeed.
